Calaveras Dam

In May 2016, Fisher Industries was awarded the $7.5 million contract to replace the Calaveras Dam. 1.2 million cubic yards needed to be moved from the stock pile area down in to the spillway and down the spillway at a 17 degree downward slope then conveyed out the side of the spillway and stock piled where haul trucks or scrapers can pick up the material and build the embankment which is the new earth dam.

Fisher screened the material to 9 inch minus. The 9 inch plus was used as riprap on the sides of the reservoir.  Fisher needed to maintain a production rate of 800 cubic yards per hour to keep up with the earth-dam product installation. Fisher Industries part of the project finished up in August of 2018.
