I-17 and Willard Springs Road

In 2018 Fisher Sand & Gravel and Southwest Asphalt Paving of Arizona had the opportunity to implement our patented Concrete Wall Form System in the I-17 job near Flagstaff.  This was an Arizona DOT job and the project was located on Interstate 17 from the Coconino County Line to I-40 in the northbound lanes. The work included replacing asphaltic concrete pavement and bridge deck replacement as well as improvements to Willard Springs Road and Woods Canyon. The Concrete Form System was utilized in the construction of the bridge walls.

The original design of this project called for the building of a temporary bridge, replacement of the bridge deck, keeping the old bridge walls and foundations, and the demolition of the temporary bridge which would take 320 project days.

Fisher’s design rerouted traffic to the off ramps, and included the complete rebuild of the two bridges in 45 project days.

The utilization of our revolutionary system is what allowed us to complete the project months ahead of the original proposed timeline.
